Day Shift starring Jaime Foxx was worth getting?

Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco star in "Day Shift," a vampire hunting movie. The movie tells the story of a blue collar dad trying to provide a better life for his young daughter. However, his routine job in San Fernando Valley pool cleaning is a disguise for his true income, hunting down and killing vampires as part of an International Union of Viper Hunters.

Although the premise sounds great, can J.J. Perry make it work?

The opening scene of the movie is a bonkers action sequence with Jamie Foxx shotgun blasting the hell out of an old lady who turns out to be a vampire. It then turns into a crazy fight between them, which is so much fun. I felt that the movie had a lot of fun using this type of ragdoll physicality in its action sequences, making them pop in ways that other Netflix action movies and blockbusters don't.

Day Shift is a movie so bad that it's funny. It's so obvious what they were trying to do, and yet they failed so miserably. The acting is poor, the dialogue is stilted and the plot is a mess. However, it was still enjoyable. Perhaps it's because of my love for vampire movies or because I enjoy bad (mentioned here) movies. Day Shift was a fun movie. While it isn't a great movie, it's very entertaining. This is what I really want in a movie.

Day Shift is a mixed movie. One side is that there is lots of action and some fun characters (the brother and Seth), and on the other, the villain was terrible and there were many mediocre people. It appeared that there were some scenes that were not shown. Bud's neighbor acts like they're friends, even though before the final scene she maybe had 3 minutes of screen time. This makes the characters who are better than others shine even more. Overall, the movie is enjoyable, but it could have been even better.

Snoop Dogg makes the whole movie worth watching. Snoop Dogg is a favorite of many. He is the epitome of cool.
